SRH Batters Break Huge IPL Record
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise has achieved a significant batting record in IPL 2026, with three batters scoring 500 or more runs in a single edition of the tournament.
With Ishan Kishan taking the RCB attack to the cleaners in match number 67 of the tournament in Hyderabad, the blistering wicketkeeper-batter has now crossed 500 runs this season. Ishan Kishan joins Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen as the third SRH batter to complete 500 runs this season.
SRH Franchise Achieves Historic Feat
The SRH franchise has now become only the second team in IPL history to have at least three players scoring 500 or more runs in a single season. The Gujarat Titans were the first franchise to achieve this feat in IPL 2025, with Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler all scoring above 500 runs.
Gujarat Titans Openers Lead the Way
Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill are also leading the overall run-scoring charts of the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Sudharsan is the current recipient of the Orange Cap, having aggregated 638 runs in just 14 innings at a splendid average of 49.07 and with an astonishing strike rate of 157.92.
